4 Primary Reasons to Delegate

4 Primary Reasons to Delegate

In last week's post Barriers to Delegation we looked at the fact that almost all business owners struggle with delegation and have perceptual barriers to releasing work to others.  This week we will look at the 4 primary reasons to delegate.

Does the idea of delegating tasks cause you to break out in a cold sweat?  Do you struggle with always needing things done exactly your way?

You may think you've got everything under control, but you're setting yourself up for failure if you can't delegate.

As your business grows you'll find that you simply can't do everything like you did in the beginning stages of your business.

As your business grows it becomes busier and more complex!

Your focus now needs to shift from managing to leading.  You won't have the time to focus on the high level leader tasks that will directly grow the business, unless you are able to turn loose of the lower level management tasks of your business.

As the CEO and leader of your business, it's no longer your job to attend to tasks that distract you from accomplishing those big goals for your business - growing to the next level.

If you are still struggling with knowing what to focus on I encourage you to set up a session with your coach or Online Business Manager.

When you remove yourself from the day-to-day minutiae of operations and marketing management, you’ll have the time, energy, and focus to carry out high- level tasks that bring direct revenue to your bottom line. You’ll also enjoy more balance between work and personal life.

Delegation increases their experience and skills and involves them more in the life and energy of the business. When you entrust authority and responsibility to your team, you breathe life and strength into the framework of your business.

When you have properly delegated to your team, you build a strong foundation of team skills and engagement for your business. These skills and engagement form the framework of your team guidelines moving forward. And even better, delegation gives them guidance in doing their jobs while you’re out of the office.

This is a common reason for not delegating, probably due to fears of being seen as ineffective or weak. Take heart, one person cannot possibly possess all the knowledge and experience necessary to fulfill all tasks in business.

Let’s face it, up until now you have performed a multitude of tasks to get the business started and run it. Like many business owners, you’ve learned skills you never imagined you’d need.

You found you were good at some of those skills, and you discovered other skills you don’t do so well.

Regardless, as Visionary and CEO of a 6-7 figure business, you need to relinquish (delegate) day-to-day operational and marketing management tasks to an Online Business Manager.

An Online Business Manager will take the delegation process to next steps by determining which tasks and projects need to be completed every day, assign to the appropriate team member, and ensure that tasks are complete on time and on budget.

Not sure what you would delegate to an Online Business Manager?  I can help you with that.
